Job Description
Provides leadership, overall strategic direction and day-to-day management of clinical and business operations for the Corporate and Community Health Service Line. Outpatient services managed will include all Augusta Health urgent care centers, retail clinics, Wellness/Health Promotion services and a planned occupational and sports medicine clinic opening in 2012, As the Director of this diverse specialty, you will work with area businesses and industries, schools, and the community-at-large, to provide accessible healthcare to all these populations.
Desired Skills & Experience
Masters degree in healthcare/business administration with ten (10) years healthcare management experience including at least five (5) years in the oversight of urgent care, walk-in ambulatory care, sports medicine, orthopedics or occupational health services.
Must possess a broad systems view, ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff; to coach/teach/mentor; to identify areas of needed growth and development; to bring resources together to accomplish goals. Ability to motivate others.
Demonstrated management and leadership competencies from holding previous roles which include managing people, strategic planning, demonstrating data driven outcomes and improvement.
Proven leadership experience in managing a clinical outpatient environment; with the ability to effect change and negotiate and or/sell ideas; successful record in directing staff, developing leadership, and shaping a customer service culture.
In-depth knowledge of performance improvement and process redesign in physician practice operations including utilization of key performance and outcome indicators and business process improvement models.
Proven business acumen, analytical and financial analysis skills. Ability to collect, analyze and apply complex data and other pertinent information to develop short and long term physician practice goals and budget needs. Ability to perform complex financial forecasting, create tools to aid strategy and planning processes and performance analytics.
