Director, Marketing SkinMedica - Greater San Diego


Job Description

This position is responsible for developing the strategic marketing plan and directing the marketing activities for the product line.
Develops the overall brand strategy, research and development requirements, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
Develops and champions long-term marketing strategy. Reviews long-term plan on an annual basis in conjunction with annual strategic plan. Provides input for the corporate annual and five year revenue and profit goals.
Develops a marketing team capable of supporting the current and mid-term strategic marketing plan and corporate goals and objectives.
Develops strategic brand positioning and supporting communications strategy. Supports CEO in management of public relations to maximize effectiveness of programs and support of brand and corporate objectives.
Facilitates monthly new product ideation meetings to create and maintain a new product and new technology pipeline that supports the long-term strategic plans of the company.
Strategizes with Business Development to identify partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden company's product line. Identifies related secondary market research needs.
Develops strategy underlying new product launch and on-going support plans as well as brand promotion strategies.
Directs strategic lifecycle management of product lines.
P&L responsibility for brands
Directs regular quantitative and qualitative review of brands, including primary market research.
Leads marketing team presentations to Senior Management and company.
Desired Skills & Experience

Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least four years experience as a Product Manager.
Solid understanding of design, manufacturability, quality assurance and regulatory issues as related to successful product development projects
Proven track record of new product planning, development and implementation.
Extensive experience with preparation of regulatory documents.
Be well versed and experience in global requirements.
Must have the ability to think strategically and conceptually.
Have in-depth knowledge and experience with analytical development, formulation and packaging development and clinical supplies management.
Must be available to travel overnight approximately 30% of the time.
