Job Description
Deltek is seeking a Integration/Performance Management professional who has extensive experience managing consulting teams that focus on the strategy, design, development and deployment of a variety of data integration solutions and reporting models with Cast Iron, TIBCO, Pervasive, Informatica, Cognos 8, Cognos Enterprise Planner, QlikView and other COTS business integration and reporting packages that are or can be integrated with Deltek’s Costpoint suite of products.
The targeted candidate should have the ability to traverse between the business and technical sides of the integration/ reporting industry with a proven track record in developing and positioning value added integration/reporting service solutions to Fortune 100- 500 companies.
In addition, this candidate will be responsible for Managing the employee development process for up to 25 consulting professionals in DGS Consulting Resources organization. Serves as a mentor, coach, counselor to help the consulting professional develop skills that are required to provide business consulting in which Deltek is a strategic business partner with the client. Responsible for recruitment decisions, conducting formal and informal reviews, developing individualized career development plans, identifying training needs, and helping the professional navigate the Deltek culture. Focus of this position is on developing and retaining a talent pool of top performers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, productivity, utilization and minimizing consulting concessions relating to poor consulting delivery. Responsible for aiding in pipeline development activities, utilization tracking and reporting, managing operating expenses and championing Deltek policies and procedures. Ultimately responsible for maintaining team morale and quality by creating a collaborative and supportive environment that fosters individual creativity and career growth..
The Consulting Manager works closely with Project Managers, Resource Management, and Services Business Development to position appropriate consultants on customer projects.
Skills
Education & Experience:
•People Management: 5+ years direct/indirect management experience, P&L Management: 5+, Consulting: 5+ years, Industry experience: 5+ years.
•Basic knowledge of P&L management process & activities, forecasting, people management principals, professional development, progression planning and talent management.
•Good working knowledge of resource management.
•Understanding of their role and its influence and impact on business results.
•Manages a defined team of resources including HR & Business functions, such as: Hiring, Firing, Performance Pay Reviews, Professional Development, Resource Management & Utilization.
•Demonstrates the ability to influence the strategic direction of the consulting practice.
•Excellent oral and written communication. Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
•Primarily communicates with direct reports and Deltek management within one’s own organization.
•B.A./B.S. required.
•Advanced degree in a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Customer and Industry Knowledge
• Five plus years of data integration experience with a major integration company such as; Pervasive, TIBCO, Informatica, Cast Iron
• One to Five years of Cognos 8, Enterprise Planner, QlikView product experience
•Provides a positive impression of DGS by exceeding customer expectations and incorporates customer service into all aspects of work plan.
•In-depth knowledge and understanding of business, technological and competitive trends.
•Has a strong understanding of technical, cost, risk and business implications of potential decisions on other projects and client needs and incorporates these into recommendations.
