Vertical Healthcare Director at Verizon


Job Description

The Managing Director will be a recognized expert in the Healthcare industry and will position Verizon as a leader in this vertical industry. The candidate will be responsible for business development activities, including: thought leadership, opportunity development, solution development, engineering, sales, capture, delivery and client life cycle management. The Managing Director will initially be measured on revenue and sales growth per vertical accounts, profitability (deal level), funnel growth and sales/capture effectiveness. The Managing director will be responsible for managing a team of Healthcare industry experts in sales, professional services, solution engineering and integration, and bid/proposal development and management. In addition to the directly managed team, this position will also matrix manage other resources required to capture a deal.

This position will directly manage employees across the United States, plus the virtual team members from Global Services, Sales, Engineering, etc. required architect/capture a deal.
Skills

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading a Healthcare Vertical in a large matrix organization. The selected candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of specific knowledge and experience in at least two of the following Healthcare related disciplines: Provider; Payer; Life Science; Federal Healthcare or the Pharmaceutical space. In addition, the selected candidate must have a strong understanding of sales forecasting, and leading a muti-million dollar sales effort of no less than an $80 million dollar annual revenue stream.
