Job Description
NexTag is looking for a high energy and well rounded Vice President or Director of Business Development to own responsibility for business development initiatives with external partners. We are seeking a highly proactive and smart individual who can take ownership of partner relationships and identify opportunities to grow existing ones. Requirements include strong sales, prospecting, and networking skills, and direct experience in an Internet company or experience in a business with a major Internet component.
Responsibilities:
* Seek out and cultivate relationships with top tier Internet companies and key business partners in support of NexTag’s strategy.
* Lead all aspects of NexTag’s co-brand and syndication initiative, including overall direction, deal strategy, partner acquisition, and ongoing partner management.
* Identify, pursue and close affiliate partnerships that expand our audience, grow revenue and margin, and generate high quality traffic for NexTag’s merchant customers.
* Work cross functionally to manage new roll-outs and/or product enhancements.
* Expand relationships by identifying opportunities for partners to improve economics and value.
* Negotiate non-standard and company-wide deals as assigned.
Skills
Requirements:
* 8+ years of Internet business development or major account sales experience.
* Solid understanding the Internet landscape, online business strategy, key players and trends.
* Management experience required.
* Strong negotiation skills. Proven ability to negotiate effectively with senior level business development counterparts at other companies.
* Strong understanding of and experience with business agreements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical and quantitative skills a must.
* BA/BS or equivalent from a top-tier university. MBA strongly preferred.
