Job Description
Travelocity is looking for a Director of Acquisition for our San Francisco office.
This solution-oriented team leader is responsible for strategy development and execution of paid acquisition programs for Travelocity, North America. The right individual will be deeply versed in buying, executing, evaluating and optimizing paid search, display and mobile campaigns.
Success in this role includes:
* Maximizing profitability and sustainable sales growth through program enhancements, intelligent analytics and improved targeting
* Actively contributing to the global digital marketing organization, sharing best practices and executing localized tests
* Smart integration with external partners, internal customers and marketing leaders
* Maturing productive relationships with primary vendors (Google, Yahoo!, MSN, etc.) - including process, contracting and negotiations
* Identifying and championing new opportunities to deliver incremental traffic and profit
* Managing the Acquisition team which will involve setting goals, establishing performance criteria, designing procedures, assigning projects, measuring results and job performance/work levels
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or like discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 6 years related digital media experience (client-side with a retail-type site preferred)
· Minimum 3 years team management experience
· Knowledge of third party analytics and API solutions
· An understanding of the fundamentals of internet media tracking is required
· Strong familiarity with paid search, display and ad serving
MUST HAVE:
· Driven and motivated to own and optimize program results
· Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
· Advanced understanding of paid search strategies and optimization techniques
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong analytically and detail oriented
· A natural curiosity for how things work
· Experience building and managing campaigns via various Search API
