Job Description

Turner PR is seeking a rock star Senior Director to cooperatively lead its NY division and portfolio of globally-recognized active, streetwear and outdoor brands.

The position is full time and will require strategic account leadership, business development and team leadership for a team of 8-10 account staff. Position will report directly to the division VP.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, career-minded agency-focused PR professional who seeks a long-term opportunity to shape and grow our successful consumer PR and Social Media division. Looking for a whip smart strategist with a quick wit and polished/versatile writing skills. Must have demonstrated mentoring/management experience and naturally value work/life balance. Must understand active, streetwear and action sports intimately, communicating with CEOs, athletes and designers with equal authenticity and discipline.

Skills

-MA or BA in PR, Communications or related discipline
-8-10 years of PR experience including minimum of 5 years agency experience
-Career focus on consumer lifestyle, fashion, active, outdoor brand PR
-Agency management experience and skills managing account teams, recruiting, training and mentoring
-Solid strategic leadership experience guiding global brands, reporting directly to CMO/CEOs
-Proven case studies of global campaigns managed from development, planning, budget & results
-Business development experience including lead generation, presentation building and sell-through
-Proven rolodex; industry media and influencer relationships including broadcast and business press
-Outstanding copy writing and flawless editing skills for strategic plans, releases and pitches
-Topline understanding of fashion and active product industries from a trade, retail and consumer perspective
-Solid understanding of ROI and measurement metrics (Cision, Vocus, Technorati, etc.)
-Experience producing and managing successful media, retail and consumer events
-Active understanding and proven experience with social media & the blogosphere
- Entrepreneurial spirit; energetic personality; detail-oriented; cooperative, gracious demeanor;gets it
-Aggressive, pro-active pitching with fun, creative and meaningful approaches
-Willing to travel extensively for client events (regional and nationally and occasional International)
-Participation and help in coordination with trade show, show rooms and non traditional music and sports events (X-Games, Triathlons, Festivals, etc.)
-Facilitation of trade shows & gifting lounges
-Understanding of celebrity/influencer seeding
-Cooperative strategy and planning with product team
-Ability to self manage and accountability for deadlines
