Your leadership in elevating our Procurement team to the next stage of development is key to doubling our size, impact and success. Sourcing, negotiating and buying are like second nature to you. You have developed a large rolodex of suppliers in the food industry and are ready to use them.

Creative use of technology, process improvements, strategic market insights and developing and leveraging talented teams internally and externally will accelerate the reputation of the Torani procurement team as a GREAT partner to work with.
SUCCESS FACTORS (first 12-18 months)
Capital Purchases: As our new factory comes to life, you will have successfully partnered with our engineering team to negotiate and secure capital equipment contracts that support our growth strategy, while protecting ourselves with contingencies built into the structure of the agreements.
Raw Materials: As new products are developed, you’ve partnered with R&D and sourced the right suppliers for our unique raw materials and ingredients. Secondary suppliers are identified and qualified as well and we have the best costs for our products.
Precision Packaging: New and current products packaging is secured as you collaborate with cross-functional team members to commercialize exciting new products. You’ve built out the packaging capabilities that allow us to work with Brand and R&D on new and exciting packaging solutions.
Strategic Supplier Partnerships: Strategic supplier partnerships and development are at their highest and our negotiating style supports Torani’s core value of caring deeply for people. You have developed a strategy to implement a sourcing process to enable collaboration and supplier development. Commodity markets are analyzed and tracked to ensure the right purchase entry points for world & domestic sugar, resin, cocoa, etc.
People Leader: An inspiring leader, experienced in building and developing high performance teams, you’re creating the optimal, scalable purchasing and planning infrastructure and talent bank – recruiting, engaging, coaching and mentoring your team in support of their growth and increased contribution.

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
An undergraduate degree is required. An advanced degree such as a MBA, or executive-level education, is a plus.
Prior success in leading procurement teams to develop and drive supplier relationship, quality programs and risk mitigation strategies (7-10 years).
Deep understanding of sourcing and procurement best practices to support supplier assessment, qualification and ongoing management review process.
Proven success with strategic negotiating complex business agreements and bringing them to close, and building value for both the company and the supplier over time.
Extensive background of cross-functional collaboration, executive level communications as well as strong interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills.
