We’re looking for a versatile Director of Finance. Your responsibilities would range beyond a traditional finance role. You would of course manage all financial planning, analysis, accounting, and reporting, as well as investor relations, for Harbor as a company. Because Harbor is a FinTech company in the investment arena, you would be conducting financial analyses and modeling of securities issuances and the underlying investments regarding Harbor clients and potential clients across a broad range of asset classes. You must be an organized self-starter, excellent communicator, and strong strategic partner.
Direct all financial forecasting, planning, analysis, and risk management.
Build financial models and analytical tools to measure performance and operational forecasts.
Analyze and model the underlying investments and securities offered by Harbor clients.
Provide strategic advice based on a deep understanding of capital markets.
Manage all financial accounting, including general ledger reconciliations, A/R, A/P, and payroll.
Prepare financial reports for leadership team, board meetings, and potential fundraising events.
Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reports and analysis of operating and financial performance.
Manage financial systems, processes, and procedures to support growth and ensure compliance.
Manage stock option administration and cap table.
Ensure accuracy of all tax reporting requirements and filings.
Requirements
10 + years of progressive FP&A experience
Strong preference for investment banking or other capital markets experience
Strong preference for technology / start-up experience
High proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analysis
Strong analytical, project management and financial modeling expertise
Excellent problem solving, decision making, and influencing skills
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and direction
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong desire to help drive the strategic direction of the company
BA/BS in Finance or Accounting preferred
