Saint Peter Catholic Community is seeking a results-driven, passionate professional to establish and lead a comprehensive development program for the Church and School.
The responsibilities would include:
• Partner with the Pastor, Principal, Business Administrator and Parochial Vicar to design and implement a comprehensive development plan (with specific goals and action items) for the Church and School.
• Establish, engage and collaborate with a volunteer Development Committee.
• Prepare a compelling and comprehensive Case for Support; develop marketing materials for the Church and School.
• Develop and manage the operational protocols for the development office; including the deployment and utilization of a new CRM database. Ensure maintenance of all records management of annual funds in the database.
• Design and develop solicitation strategies for various donor segments.
• Conduct a minimum of 200 personal visits annually to establish and cultivate relationships and seek support. Complete a minimum of 25 major gift requests, 25 leadership annual fund requests and five planned giving requests each year.
• Prepare solicitation materials, including proposals and executive summaries
• Increase current and future giving (annual, capital and planned gifts).
• Coordinate special events (and volunteers) for the annual gala, golf event and auctions.
• Establish a school alumni association.
• Develop, lead and promote the annual parish stewardship effort.
• Grow planned (legacy) giving.
• Attend Church and School events to establish and build relationships with key constituents (e.g. - parishioners, parents, grandparents, alums, community leaders)
• Serve as a collaborative member of a dynamic Parish staff; including the Pastor’s leadership team.
• Promote current Capital Campaign and prepare for the next Campaign.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required.
• A minimum of five years of fundraising or related development experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and managing high-level donor relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
• The capacity to clearly comprehend and communicate Saint Peter’s mission and ongoing initiatives.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills.
• Ability to effectively partner and collaborate with a diverse group of administrators and academic leaders.
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Prior experience in a not for profit, or similarly complex organizations preferred.
