Enabling Solutions is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide leadership, direction and execution of various control functions. Responsibilities may include multiple discipline combinations from information security, business continuation, records management, vendor governance, and privacy, depending upon business needs. Business continuation and vendor governance will be the primary scope based on current needs, though the ideal candidate will have the flexibility to shift and adapt if needs change.
This position will report to the Vice President of Business Controls and will provide support to a geographically dispersed organization of approximately 700 employees and consultants in over 10 U.S. locations. The position can be in any major Prudential home office location.
Responsibilities may include BISO governance duties, vendor due diligence, business continuation plan development and testing oversight, and governance of our records retention obligations. May coordinate simulation exercises to identify and recommend modifications to existing BCPs. Broad knowledge of business control principles, communication protocols, environments and technologies preferred. May require 24/7 support during business continuity incidents, depending upon current control assignment. Flexibility required to shift between control disciplines as needs change.
The key responsibilities of the position include:
o Establish and maintain policies and procedures which promote the effective administration of the assigned control disciplines
o Establish and communicate standards, procedures and guidelines
o Manage day-to-day aspects of the assigned business control programs (design, development, maintenance and testing)
o Consultant to management on matters of business controls and risk prevention
o Regularly review program elements across Enabling Solutions to ensure they are integrated and consistent
o Lead testing efforts
o Execute awareness programs, training and support
o Develop training and communication materials; training business point people on appropriate execution of the roles; assist in ensuring all associates understand their responsibility in appropriately managing records.
Qualifications
Multiple years of experience in one or more of the following disciplines: information security, vendor management, system audit/application development, operations management, privacy, business continuation, records management or other control type function
Expert knowledge of one or more control/risk functions and basic knowledge of others preferred
Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external partners/key contacts at all levels across the organization including but not limited to Corporate Information Security Office, IT Procurement, Sourcing & Procurement, Enterprise Business Continuation Management, Third Party Risk Management, Risk Management, Audit, Privacy Office, as well as Enabling Solutions leadership
