Senior Director of Solution Engineering Responsibilities
Build and manage a team of Solution Engineers focused on North America
Work in partnership with sales, marketing and product management on development, evolution and execution of the go-to-market strategy
Build and deliver programs and content for the Solution Engineering team to aid in pipeline development i.e. workshops, maturation i.e. discovery process, and deal closure
Develop and implement an approach/strategy to capture the "hearts and minds" internally, with Salesforce's broader Solution Engineering organization
Manage pre-sales customer engagements (demos, POCs, RFPs, discovery etc) in partnership with the Quip Sales team, including providing insights and solutions for customer business challenges
Provide market, customer feedback and insights to the Quip Product Management team, via customer discovery and solutions development
Skills / Requirements
7+ years of management experience preferred, preferably in SaaS
Proven track record of partnering with cross-functional teams, i.e. Account Executives, CSG, Partners, to deliver valued business solutions for customers
Successful and proven track record of managing Sales & Solutions Engineering teams in a high growth and "start-up" environment
Excellent communication, critical thinking, analytical, prioritization and presentation skills
Strong Project Management and Risk Assessment skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Master's degree a plus
Travel required
