The Managing Director, Payer Brand & Customer Marketing leads the development of U.S. payer strategies that maximize appropriate patient access to XELJANZ across current and potential new indications. This individual will co-lead, with the Brand Team Access Integration Lead, a Matrix Team responsible for executing the access plan across all key functions. This will require oversight of key activities across multiple teams including: Patient & Health Impact (Access Strategy, RWD, HEOR), Brand Team, Account Management, Customer Analytics, Specialty Access Solutions, Medical, and other Pfizer stakeholders. This position will work with their Patient & Health Impact colleagues to set evidence generation priorities to ensure a compelling value proposition for XELJANZ. They will continually assess the U.S. healthcare landscape to identify emerging stakeholders impacting patient access and develop proactive strategies to ensure appropriate patients maintain access to XELJANZ.
This individual will provide leadership and direct supervision of the Director, XELJANZ Payer Marketing responsible for the continued enhancement of the Payer Value Platform (messaging, resources, etc.).

Position Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direct supervision of Director, XELJANZ Payer Marketing responsible for the continued enhancement of the Payer Value Platform (messaging, resources, etc.)
Lead the development of payer strategies that maximize appropriate patient access across existing and potential new indications
Lead the development of the access plan throughout the Operating Plan process
Co-lead the Matrix team responsible for the execution of the payer plan
Collaborate with Patient & Health Impact colleagues, Brand Team, Medical, and other Pfizer stakeholders to establish evidence generation priorities in support of value messages for current and potential indications
Develop access strategies for emerging stakeholders impacting patient access to XELJANZ
Inform pricing and contracting evaluations and decisions including participation in appropriate governance meetings
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred in business or healthcare related course of study
10 years of combined experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical/healthcare market
Pharmaceutical marketing background preferred with payer marketing experience ideal but not required
Other relevant managed markets experience will be considered (ie. Account Management, Payer Strategy, etc.)
Pharmaceutical business leadership, including experience in strategy development
Prior success delivering results and experience collaborating across multiple stakeholders to drive results
Demonstrated ability to develop strategy that links to executable tactics
Understanding of key business processes driving performance, and ability to align objectives and execute across multiple disciplines
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop colleagues preferred
Able to effectively lead and influence in a matrix team environment where there is not a direct reporting relationship
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to develop strategy that links to executable tactics
Track record demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills; outstanding writing and presentation skills
Strategic mindset, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, financial/quantitative skills, and innovative thinking
Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problems
