The individual in this role will be the principle leader of continuous improvement activities and provide methodology, training, expertise, and direction to support the organizations goals and drive best practices. This position will help deliver significant and quantifiable process improvement and financial benefit across the business and manufacturing functions. The Director of Continuous improvement will focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction and increase market share.
The responsibilities of this position include:

Act as the role model to lead continuous process improvement and grow the continuous improvement culture across the organization.
Partner with senior level functional leaders and management staff to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities. Manage a robust review process for selecting, scoping and prioritizing Lean Six Sigma projects including review of resource utilization across the organization.
Develop the company scorecard for continuous improvement projects to support the strategic goals
Responsible for performance management and analysis, tracking data and analyzing trends.
Facilitate company-wide continuous improvement events, including ensuring all projects have appropriate team charters, and are appropriately scoped, targets are quantified, and milestones/objectives are achieved.
Utilize LEAN Principles to improve processes, drive customer satisfaction, and increase productivity.
Develop and roll out the company’s lean tool box, including kaizen, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement processes
Serve as technical content Lean expert, provide coaching/advice to peers and direct reports, facilitate teams to achieve continuous improvement goals, train others in use of quality and continuous improvement tools and techniques.
Provide leadership by challenging conventional thinking, establishing and monitoring metrics and measurements, and building a workforce that applies and utilizes Lean tools and techniques.
Create an environment where all employees have increased opportunities to contribute to the success of the business and the security of their future through continuous improvement efforts
Identify and engage talented candidates to become Lean Six Sigma practitioners as Master Black Belts, Black Belts and Green Belts to support the overall Operational Excellence initiative.
Work with operations, sales, finance, IT, and human resources counterparts to develop effective end-to-end business practices
Work with operations’ department heads to coordinate the organization’s workflow to ensure successful business outcomes
Highly effective leader who can create a shared vision, energize others, challenge the status quo and drive change
Must possess the interpersonal skills needed to communicate the organization's mission and strategies as well as organizational performance
The requirements of this position include:

Minimum 10 years of progressive Continuous Improvement/Project Management leadership experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
MBA in Management, Finance, or Business (preferred, but not required)
Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certified
PMP Certification (preferred, but not required)
Strong coaching skills with a minimum of 5+ years of effectively leading large, complex programs with significant change impact across organizational boundaries and across multiple sites
Proven executive engagement skills with an ability to establish strong relationships with business decision makers
Extensive knowledge of MRP and ERP Systems
Strong customer service mindset with ability to enhance internal/external customer relationships
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Superior ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and adapt tone for different users
Exceptional presentation skills and ability to communicate across all organizational levels
