Reporting directly to the President, Intuit Canada, the Director, Business Development will be responsible for all Canadian Partnerships that work with our Intuit product lines (TurboTax, QuickBooks, Mint). In addition, this role will play a key role in helping develop new business streams and solve new problems for our customers.
Define & execute new visions for Sales partnerships across Canada within financial institutions
Identifying and developing new business development with a primary focus on lending, employer solutions and accountant workflow solutions
Continuing to progress our App Strategy within the Canadian markets
Creation of multiple new business revenue lines and leading joint ventures
Build and motivate a high-performing team, instilling best practices and operational rigor
Demonstrate and instill a strong understanding of customer needs and focus on customer delight
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation
Have a high level of energy as well as strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Demonstrate the ability to gain trust, negotiate business objectives, and work directly with a broad group of senior executives and subject matter experts
Qualifications
15+ years overall experience, including 7+ years in sales experience within financial institutions
Strong experience with sales/marketing to consumers or small businesses
Seasoned operator who can innovate for continuous improvement and work cross-functionally
Very strong background in customer insight, multi-channel marketing & sales primarily within the financial space
Demonstrated strength in building, motivating and retaining high-performing teams
High tolerance for ambiguity, embraces challenges and has infectious ‘can do’ attitude
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with potential strategic partners, acquisition targets, end customers and internal senior executives as needed
Ideally with an MBA, strong experience, knowledge of additional languages to English a plus
