Apple Media Design is looking for a world-class Art Director for their App Store Marketing Design team. This is a role for the visual designer, communicator and problem solver who wants to have their hands in several things at once; who can deliver end-to-end design across media types, screens, formats and technologies; and who can collaborate well with others.
The Art Director (Design) is passionate about storytelling, with an eye for detail and a blend of creative and technical production skills. This position will work closely with the Creative Director, creative producers as well as cross functional producers to design, create and maintain Apple’s visual presence on social medias and across marketing efforts for Apple’s App Store.

Key Qualifications
Strong command of visual and communication design principles
Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative
Passionate about graphic design, typography, photography, motion and illustration
Clear and concise communicator displaying strong organization, teamwork and leadership skills
Conceptual thinker who is strategically-centered
Authors, shares and merchandises ideas in a cogent and inspiring manner
A keen ability to create work under minimal supervision, as well as package and present solutions to the wider creative / management team—quickly and beautifully
Delivers highly-resolved works at the intersection of culture and design
Description
Our ideal candidate:

Is a fountain of ideas and creative thinking who can think and implement quickly, laterally, independently or collaboratively
Experienced in developing and executing a marketing design, and has an advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across platforms and audiences
Demonstrates curiosity; keeps up with the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies and resources
Is motivated and driven, and collaborates well with Creatives, Project Managers, Business Owners and Executives to solve complex problems with simple solutions
Has experience creating and implementing ideas for a variety of platforms and use cases—and can rapidly prototype those ideas across myriad Apple devices, experiences, and scenarios
Has a passion for nurturing relationships, managing and mentoring creatives, and can use that rapport to align teams around a vision
Has a keen understanding of local market creative and cultural nuances
Able to work on a global teams, across time zones, date lines and traditional routine

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic, Information, Communication, Web design or equivalent

Additional Requirements
Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in delivering strong creative ideas across digital, social or static and print media
7+ years relevant design + creative leadership experience required; plus for time spent at top design or advertising agencies
Clear and concise communication and organization skills
Fluency in Apple products services (App Store, Podcasts, iBooks, News etc)
Passionate about the Apple brand and relentless in preserving its authenticity
