Regional Channel Director PayPal Singapore

PayPal is currently looking for a leader responsible for strategically driving both sales and relationships with our most important channel partners in APAC. Specifically, this role will focus on working with and developing a sales team, identifying areas of opportunities with our global partners, building deep and meaningful relationships with channel partners, as well as executing the strategies for key global, local, and regional partners across APAC. You will own the responsibility of expanding the value and growing the adoption of PayPal with key channel partners across APAC.
This role is responsible for managing the strategic channel partners that integrate on behalf of merchants. This includes, ecommerce platforms, software providers, digital agencies, developers, system integrators, and payment gateways. This is a broad role which requires a deep understanding of the ecommerce landscape and the business models for the partners under your management, as well as the partners technology and integration with PayPal. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, shaping strategy, and the execution of plans for the top channel partners.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of experience allowing for effective engagement with key channel partners at the business development, sales, marketing, and executive levels. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about new business models, product integrations, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and drive innovation through partners.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Define and own the overall APAC channel partner strategy
Establish yourself internally as the main point of contact for anything partner related through deep and strong engagement as well as internal involvement across all relevant departments
Identify and drive growth opportunities through strategic relationships, partnerships, market expansion and marketing penetration, promotions, or other strategic initiatives
Learn partners strategic iniatives, understand priorities and urgency, and help shape channel partner strategy as it develops in market
Work with channel partner sales teams in all markets to build sale pipelines, close deals, and give strategic direction
Prepare and give business reviews to PayPal and partner senior leadership
Professional Qualifications

15+ years experience in sales, business development or relationship management with ecommerce and/or channel partners
High level of expertise and experience in ecommerce, merchant services, and/or fintech industry
B.S. degree required - Master’s degree desired.
Confident communicator with strong presentation skills, able to drive results with C-level contacts internally and externally
Embody unquestionable integrity and trust, drive for results, bias towards action
Comfortable navigating large and complex organizations to influencing and obtain stakeholder buy in.
Ability to travel as necessary
Likes working in highly nuanced and complex strategic environments
