Citi Equities and Securities Services (ESST) Technology is seeking a Director to Head the Equities CSC Pune team. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Equities business along with deep technical knowledge and the ability to lead a large organization. The role will report into the Global Head of ESST Shared Services technology and matrix into the CSC Pune Head
Citi’s Equities business is undergoing a major overhaul of its technology systems to support the business growth plans. This role will be instrumental in driving the strategy by focusing on attracting and retaining the best talent, providing senior technical direction, driving a culture of operational excellence and accountability
The site lead will be:
Accountable for Site Management:
Demand Management (cross functional opportunities to move resources in right roles)
Attracting and hiring the best talent, actively engaging in graduate programs and identifying and attracting the top graduate talent
Developing the talent by identifying training needs for the site, providing stretch assignments, actively engaging in career planning
Establishing goals for the site including both business and people goals
Driving a culture of innovation and accountability
Focusing on operational excellence (Engineering, DevOps, Stability)
Proactively identifying areas of improvement related to staff engagement
Meeting all Risk and Control, Compliance requirements
Building a Governance Framework and providing alignment to the global organization
Responsible for site delivery and quality of execution:
Accountability for the quality, timeliness of all releases from CSC Pune
Governance on Project Plans, Work Loads and Productivity
Identifying and Managing any Risks and Issues on Project Delivery
Escalation and Engagement with Senior management, providing frequent and timely feedback
Identifying Cross functional opportunities
Responsible for site empowerment
Proactively identifying gaps in site roles, obtaining approvals and closing skill gaps
Taking full ownership and accountability for applications, building and driving plans for application modernizations
Accountable for delivering the ESST and MSST must win battles
Jointly responsible with global heads for Performance Rating and Compensation
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
A successful candidate will have strong business knowledge of Equities Markets along with deep technical knowledge
Experience running a large organization in a fast paced environment responsible for time sensitive deliveries
Building and delivering stable, resilient applications
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline required or equivalent work experience
Minimum 15+ years of experience preferably within an international organization
Clear, precise communication skills along with the ability to deliver information to large teams; communicate strategy, risks and issues
Excellent leadership and people management skills. Ability to define team goals and objectives and motivate a high performing team to achieve them. Experience hiring and developing top talent, and managing global teams and offsite development
Must possess prior experience and working knowledge of front office sales and trading business functions, including pre-trade and post trade activities
Credible experience of successfully implemented projects in the financial services industry, preferably within Citi
