Senior Director Product Management Security Solution Citrix Santa Clara

The Sr. Director of Product Management for Security will lead the definition of features, functions, packaging of security features, capabilities across the entire Citrix Suite consisting of Xen App, Xen Desktop, Xen Mobile, NetScaler ADC/Gateway/SD-WAN, & ShareFile. This high visibility, critical role will report to the VP/GM of NetScaler ADC/Gateway/Security Analytics but will overlay across the rest of the Citrix product lines and will be responsible for close collaboration with product line specific security PM leads.

The ideal leader will have a broad understanding of the IT security market landscape, market sub segments, emerging trends. Practical hands on product management experience coupled with technical depth managing security products is strongly preferred. . This key role will help drive the overall security strategy for Citrix and will be responsible for PRDs, Solution definition, product delivery execution in collaboration with product leaders across the Citrix portfolio. The ideal candidate will also have very strong verbal, writing skills, experience presenting to large audiences articulating company & product line story to customers partners, sales organization and executive level audience within and outside Citrix.
Responsibilities

Lead all product management, solution life cycle activities focused on security features, functions across the Citrix portfolio
Work effectively with product, engineering leaders, peers, executive team to develop strategic plans for the Citrix solution including partnerships and drive product delivery
Identify opportunities for growth and competitive differentiation through new solutions; build market requirements, business case to help commit product delivery plans
Work closely with the marketing, field organization for field enablement; Formulate plans and execute market positioning by creating field, customer facing content to highlight the strategic value of the Citrix security solution
Coordinate, participate in industry events, customer, prospect, field webinars regarding product and go to market initiatives
Work with corporate AR, PR, IR analyst team and lead presentations, content creation for analyst research management
Evangelize Citrix’s security solution, differentiation with press, analysts and at industry events
Articulate Citrix’s security solution vision, differentiation to customers, partners and the market at large
Work closely with corporate marketing and other peers in Marcom, demand gen, lead gen in planning campaigns to target industry verticals to gain customer, prospect mind share
Work closely with the marketing organization to lead, coordinate and execute product launch activities, sales training, presentations, sales tools, and competitive analysis and sales support

Strong understanding of the IT security market, competitive landscape, emerging trends, market opportunity
Broad understanding of use cases around Security solutions (IDAM, Encryption, Authentication, VPN, SWG, NGFW etc), Mobility, Remote Access, Compliance, Software Defined Networking
Entrepreneurial spirit: Ability to proactively identify and execute new initiatives to drive growth
The person in this role will be a key player within the Citrix product management leadership team and will possess a leadership style that is both confident, tempered with high emotional IQ, maturity to collaborate with sr leaders across the company in a matrixed structure
Formulates plans, proposals, recommendations with sound reasoning and judgment; Decisive, data driven decision making skills balanced with good judgement
Influencing skills: Achieves organizational focus on key priorities, provides clear direction, transparent, proactively communicates
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; MBA desired & would be a strong plus
7-10 years of product management experience ideally driving security products, businesses
Strong PM operational skills including demonstrable experience pricing, packaging products
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and a great team player
Effective public speaking skills and presence in front of an audience
