Director Media LATAM APAC Electronic Arts EA Redwood City

This position is responsible for developing innovative and integrated acquisition and retention-related paid media campaigns for top-tier EA franchises across APAC and LATAM markets. The Director of Media will be expected to be a thought leader within the Global Marketing Organization on the topic of driving highly effective, efficient, and personalized advertising opportunities.
This is a high-profile, high-leverage role that will be responsible for frequent interaction with senior leadership. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the “soft skills” needed to influence decision-making and provide clear answers in ambiguous situations.
This role will develop and lead a globally distributed team to plan, execute and optimize campaigns across the full spectrum of paid media channels. While a strong knowledge of digital media is required to perform this role, it is equally critical that the director combines this expertise with data-led analysis and creative thinking on a regional basis, and that market-level media recommendations reflect a mix that is tuned to each region’s media marketplace and consumer behaviors.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Planning:
Take responsibility for all media purchases in support of HD games (console/PC) in LATAM and APAC markets.
Lead new digital media initiatives in LATAM and APAC markets.
Manage LATAM/APAC media agency relationships and coordinate integrated media campaigns with internal buying teams.
Expert on advertising strategy, platforms, and emerging opportunities.
Work closely with cross-functional internal teams and stakeholders to take global media strategies local, ensure business goals are being met, campaigns execute as designed, and that creative content is closely aligned with goals, distribution channels and target demographics.

Team Management & Leadership
Manage team to drive the development and execution of local market media plans
Analyze campaign performance to establish opportunities for optimization
Assist senior management in understanding media performance and issues
Desired Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in media planning and strategy, with experience developing successful global media campaigns
Strategic thinker, with the ability to clearly articulate and implement plans
Develop and retain a highly effective distributed team; manage team members to successfully deliver on program goals.
Strong digital acumen – understanding of the role of emerging platforms in media landscape
Ability to use complex analysis to make decisions
Talent for collaborating with internal and external teams
Ability to create compelling communication of activities
Flexible and adaptable while maintaining positive attitude
Self starter with passion, energy, enthusiasm to drive results and affect meaningful change
Views challenges as opportunities, solution oriented, creative problem solver
A team player who is able to work collaboratively within the group and across business units/functions
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Economics is preferred.

Successful growth GE&A’s team impact on EA’s business in LATAM and APAC – as measured by ROI/ROAS, business goals, and stakeholder feedback.
Ability to keep everyone (Global Media Strategy Team, Global Activation Team, Marketing Infrastructure and Operations, Product Marketing Partners, Global Communications Group, Creative Partners) on the same page and timelines
Ability to innovate campaigns in partnership with all key constituencies
