In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories and that advance Facebook's mission of connecting the world. The B8 team will apply DARPA-style breakthrough development at the intersection of ambitious science and product development. It will operate on aggressive, fixed timelines, with extensive use of partnerships in universities, small and large businesses. The Technical Project Team has the responsibility for scoping the effort from inception to product, communicating it to others, creating the partnerships necessary to achieve targeted results, and hitting key milestones. We are looking for a Planning Analyst and Cross-Functional Liaison that is slightly impatient and willing to face down their fear of failure to accomplish bold things. This is a two-year position based in our Menlo Park office.
Acquire and maintain a strong understanding of the marketplace/ population which the project targets.
Cross-functional partnership to evangelize, drive, track, and maintain schedule/milestones for achieving HIPAA compliance
Work closely with Project Lead and Engineering Lead to define project roadmap and influence project development
Structure and drive cross-functional approvals throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor progress in all cross-functional work streams and flag potential problems.
Collect, consolidate, and present research and intelligence on external opportunities for collaboration, which can increase the speed of innovation in line with the project's short and long-term goals
Identify and provide concise background on available data sets necessary to meet project's goals
Participate in and/or initiate cross-functional discussions to identify and address dependencies across the project's lifecycle
Be an active contributor in exploring new areas of opportunity
Provide coverage in operational tasks
Assist in managing ongoing external partnerships
Bring clear thinking and excellent problem solving skills to a range of blocking issues
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3+ years of experience in the capacity of a cross-functional project lead
Communication skills to explain complex plans and simplify critical decisions to their key points
Consolidating external research into briefs
Executing with limited resources
Experience leading projects from ideation through execution
Preferred Qualifications
Experience collaborating with government institutions and representatives
Knowledge of health tech marketplace
Experience working with diverse teams including technical and medical experts
Experience being an active contributor to the creation of new processes and building a new team in parallel with pushing forward urgent project efforts
Partnering with internal and external teams effectively to drive cohesive execution across key stakeholders
