We're seeking a leader for Facebook's media products: News and Video. This person will work closely with key executives across Facebook on strategic communications campaigns related to News and Video, including product launches, industry events, and reactive and crisis communications. The role requires close work with cross-functional partners to develop narratives and campaigns focused on how people and media companies use our products. The position requires a passion for Facebook and consumer tech products and the ability to take complex technologies and issues and distill them into clear, easy to understand communications. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work cross functionally with senior executives, lead proactive and reactive communications programs with tangible results, and have excellent media relations and organizational skills. The position is located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Message and campaign development: Develop messaging and execute communications campaigns to position and support Facebook's News and Video products
Executive communications: Work closely with senior executives on strategic initiatives and communications plans
Media relations: Build relationships and engage with press, bloggers, and influencers
Cross-functional efforts: Work closely with various Facebook teams and external agencies to drive proactive and communications campaigns and reactive work
Manage a broad range of proactive and reactive projects across the communications team
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree
15+ years professional experience in communications or journalism
Experience working with senior executives
Experience with product launches, strategic communications, executive communications and project management
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
