Amazon Prime Video is seeking a talented hands-on Senior Art Director to concept and design innovative, engaging and visually stunning designs in support of the Prime Video brand worldwide. As an ideal candidate for this role, you should demonstrate a strong visual aesthetic, impeccable design sense, and an ability to tell a clear and compelling brand story across print, digital and video mediums. Further, you should personify a creative thinker who constantly seeks to understand both customer needs and business goals, and then translate these into an end-to-end brand experience. In this role, you will partner with in-house Creative Directors, Brand Managers and Marketing leaders to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand design solutions in support of Prime Video and Amazon Originals globally.
Responsibilities
Art direct and design world-class digital, print and video brand and advertising experiences
Closely collaborate with Creative Directors, Brand Managers and Marketing leaders to define strategic objectives and deliver results
Work within existing style conventions while contributing to their evolution
Understand and respond to testing metrics and optimization efforts based on performance data to define and continuously improve the direction and execution of creative ideas
Produce concepts, sketches, graphics and high fidelity executions in support of brand and trade campaigns
Present and defend your work to peers, stakeholders and senior executives
Effectively and proactively manage your time, deliverables and deadlines with transparency
Maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with team members, peers and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of experience as a Visual Designer, Art Director or ACD with at least 2 years in a leadership position
An online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design and art direction creating digital, print or motion design solutions
Experience delivering detailed comps and high fidelity design solutions in a fast paced, iterative environment
Strong visual design aesthetic with a bias for simplification and story telling
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentations and interpersonal skills and an ability to gracefully defend your design decisions with design leaders
Proven ability to prioritize work and synthesize feedback
Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working at global scale
Experience working on brand campaigns within a design identity system
Entertainment industry or agency experience
Motion design and/or video editing capabilities
