Amazon is seeking a talented, driven, and highly analytical Instock Manager for our same-day delivery service, Amazon Prime Now. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an entrepreneurial new initiative at Amazon. The ideal candidate will possesses project management and analytics skills, operations and account management experience, and a strong track record of delivering results.
The Instock Manager will be responsible for day-to-day inventory management of multiple Prime Now locations. They will be relentlessly focused on delivering high in-stock rates in order to achieve aggressive growth plans. They will dive deep into core drivers of instock performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain excellent instock rates for owned category and/or region
· Optimize turns and inventory health
· Extract data from OracleSQL and MySQL databases
· Develop reports and tools to improve our ability to monitor and control inventory flows in a scalable way
· Ensure efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and removing unproductive inventory
· Drive root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and project manage improvements
· Work with internal teams to drive tool and process improvements
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration, Supply Chain Operations, Economics, Engineering or related field.
· 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Ops/Buying, Planning, Inventory Management, Account Management or Financial Analysis.
· Advanced Excel skills
· Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to quickly understand root cause and identify scalable solutions
· Excellent business judgment, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Highly organized and able to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
· Excellent collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels
· Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
Preferred Qualifications
· Proficient in SQL
·High innovative, flexible and self-directed
· Financial Analysis skills and an understanding of financial levers and the associated impact in other metrics.
·Track record of taking ownership and driving results in an environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
