Datto is looking for a creative Interactive Art Director to join our Marketing team. This will be a high-visibility role that will directly influence sales and marketing goals for the entire organization. Our ideal teammate will be passionate, driven, and always asking "why".
Design rich and intuitive user experience and user interfaces
Create multiple wire frames and prototypes for presentation
Iterate and improve on designs, incorporating feedback from various sources
Work with different internal departments to understand requirements for the user experience
Work closely with developers to seamlessly integrate the user experience
Ability to juggle multiple projects while being able to solve problems independently, adapt to quickly changing priorities, maintain a high-level of work under pressure, and deliver on required timelines
Position Requirements:
5+ years experience designing user experience and user interfaces for web-based applications
Bachelor's degree in related field, such as Graphic Design, HCI, Interactive Design
Expert experience in Adobe Creative Suite, as well as using Sketch for prototypes
A strong web-based portfolio demonstrating real-world experience creating rich, intuitive and superb user interface designs
Position Preferred Skills:
Being opinionated and able to defend your design decisions
Experience with illustration for web
Able to work at all levels of the business, from developers to the CEO
Mobile web and application design experience
Strong design skills with the ability to naturally shift focus to think about an experience from the macro perspective (user flows, information architecture) to the micro perspective (typography, error messaging, form layout, etc)
Fundamental understanding of how a user’s experience is impacted by different layers within the web stack -- from the front-end codebase to the server-side data models.
