The Product Manager position on the Unity Education team is responsible for developing global products that support teaching, learning, and skills knowledge for the Unity platform and the evolution of the education technology market. The PM will work closely with senior management to ensure product strategies align with the company and education objectives and priorities. The successful PM deeply understands customer requirements, the market landscape, and is responsible for representing and evangelizing these requirements with multiple teams across Unity. The PM is responsible for developing and managing a P&L for their product line, including budgeting and forecasting. They work hand in hand with the Project Management team to ensure complete transparency, scheduling and resource management to ensure on time delivery of products and programs.

Manage product launches, business reviews, financial analysis & forecasting
Development and ownership of certification products
Work with product marketing, evangelist, sales, and others as an all-around product resource to develop functionality, demonstrate benefits, and build relationships to grow the business
Drive market research and monitor competitive activity relevant to product line
Manage communications and expectations to stakeholders, e.g. pitching the product vision
Look for opportunities to expand our Edu products or enhance our overall strategy
Engage with internal teams and customers to develop core requirements and needs of product line
Drive relevant product management meetings and customer conversations
Develop messaging and tools describing the product functionality and benefits in a way that enables product marketing, sales, regions and customer support to deliver product effectively to market
Work closely with Unity Product Teams and Engineering and other teams to ensure representation of customer needs in new and future products
Proactively identify, prioritize and drive resolution to critical project issues
Transform requirements into feature specs /user stories
Work with product marketing to develop actionable Go-To-Market plans
Team with project manager to ensure schedules, dependencies, and risks are identified and managed throughout lifetime of product
Requirements
Passion for technology, 3d, game development, creative authoring tools
Strong understanding of K-12 and Higher Education and Training markets, needs of Faculty, Teachers and learners
5+ years of product management for software tools, education technology and/or game development
Ability to write both business requirements and functional specs
Effective communication with customers and remote stakeholders is mandatory
Very good listening skills with an enthusiastic, creative and innovative attitude
Experience working with complex problem spaces and an ability to handle open-ended design projects that may be ambiguous or ill-defined
Excellent written and communication skills and equally able to talk to engineers, senior executives, and customers
Results driven, attention to detail and follow-through, and ability to work effectively at all levels within the organization and with partners
Strong analysis skills and ability to evaluate alternatives and make compelling recommendations based on solid business case analysis is a plus
Willingness and ability to travel, including international
