The Director of IP, Technology and Licensing Transactions will be responsible for providing strategic legal and IP support in HERE’s product development and complex licensing activities. The candidate will have lead responsibility in product reviews and complex licensing transactions for the HERE Legal and IP team in identified areas of the HERE business. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, direction, and guidance to the business in IP and licensing, and also mentor other attorneys globally and provide oversight of their IP and complex licensing activities. The position reports directly to the general counsel.

Take lead responsibility in drafting and negotiation of complex licensing, partnering, and collaboration agreements
Embed with identified product teams to manage ongoing review of compliance of product launches and activity with regulatory, contractual, and policy requirements
Serve as a legal, IP and risk expert for the HERE business
Serve as a member of the Legal and IP management team
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 15 -20 years of legal practice experience
A minimum of 12 years of in-house experience in a technology company environment with lead responsibilities for complex licensing activity
Advanced expertise in patents and patent licensing, in the context of standards and technology transactions
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
Experience with interacting with individuals at all levels of the company
