Strategic Sales Professional within broad business/product area responsible for generating orders and revenue by persuading customer to buy. Manages customer relationship for key accounts.¤ Areas of focus are IP transport, mobile backhaul and mobile broadband solution areas with a focus on US Federal Government opportunities. Jobs eligible for Nokia sales incentive compensation plans (not STIP) have to meet all of the following elements: ¤ 1. Sales person (individual/manager) with accountability and responsibility for one or more of the following: customer orders, revenue, sell-out, sell-through .¤ 2. Sales person (individual/manager) with responsibility for persuading a customer to buy .¤ 3. Primary focus of the role on the persuasion phase of the sales process (sell-in and/or sell-out) .¤ 4. Requires consistent customer focus and contact .¤ 5. Quantitative measures of success are defined and available.
6. Requires developing and working with channels to Federal level.

Main Responsibility Area

Develops account strategy and drives the implementation of it. Identifies products and/or solutions to meet customer needs at an optimum profitability. Builds understanding of customers key business drivers and uses this knowledge for developing and creating profitable business. Acts as a relationship manager, sales person, business developer and operational manager for major customers. ¤Manages effective relationships at senior executive levels with Government officials and channel partners.


Position Description

Key responsibilities:
- Create and Manage Federal telecommunication Sales
- Identifies, develops and wins new sales opportunities for Nokia
- Understands the Customer's operational and technology challenges and opportunities
- Achieves orders and revenue targets
- Owns the account pipeline and opportunity data in pipeline management tool.
- Develops and executes account and deal win plans
- Negotiates and closes deals


Position Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, telecommunications, business or related field
- 10 years account management sales experience in the telecommunications industry
- 10 years of Government sales experience with emphasis on Federal level
- Experience with FAR's (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and GSA contract vehicles
- proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- efficient with CRM tools and MS tools
- US Citizenship required
- must be located in Washington, DC area
