Conduct product definition sessions using Agile methodology in person with the client
- Oversee the progress of the software teams executing on client projects
- Consistently stick to and advocate for the lean software process on projects

Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Director of Product Engineering to manage remote teams at key accounts under the Foundry umbrella. The Director will ensure the integrity of the development process using Lean and Agile methodologies. The position will support early engagement activities such as lean product inception meetings and roadmap creation. Finally, the Director will support pre-sales activities, such as speaking to potential clients about our process and understanding the fit of the engagement.
About You
- You have 16+ years of experience in technology or related industry
- You have 7+ years of professional web development experience
- You have 3+ years managing software development teams
- You’ve seen projects fail and projects succeed and can explain why either happened
- You know how a successful software engineering team works
- You’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team
- You have excellent communication skills
- You can still write code, but you’re committed to building and leading teams of developers
- You teach and advocate for agile practices such as pair programming, TDD, story planning, etc.
- You have worked using lean methodologies and can be a champion of lean within the organization
- You enjoy mentoring others just as much as you enjoy solving hard problems
- You have familiarity with modern web frameworks – Spring, Node.js, React JS, Angular
- You want to contribute to the knowledge growth of a world-class engineering team through collaboration, blog posts, and team discussions
- You understand and enjoy solving business problems
- You have the ability to focus on the customer’s goals as well as evaluate marketplace relevance
