The US actuarial services team consists of 175 credentialed life, health and non-life actuaries. We provide advice and consulting services to life and health insurers, non-life insurers, reinsurers, captives, banks, third-party administrators, regulators, agents and brokers, and bureaus and associations. We have extensive experience serving the domestic and international insurance industry, and assist insurers with actuarial modernization, process improvement, risk and capital management, value analyses, deals, and financial reporting.

PwC's life actuarial services team provides a comprehensive range of commercially-focused services and solutions to all types of life and annuity insurers and reinsurers.

We have extensive experience with current and emerging financial reporting standards, product profitability and risk analysis, enterprise risk management, capital measurement, management and modeling, actuarial department strategies and change management, reinsurance and captive strategies, financial due diligence and valuation, transfer pricing, tax reserving reviews, and other actuarial-related issues for all lines of business. We work closely with our advisory, risk assurance, regulatory, accounting, transaction services, tax, and corporate finance specialists to provide clients with integrated solutions to the issues they face.

Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields of study.


Certification(s) Preferred: Fellow of Society of Actuaries Certification requirement may be waived if the selected individual has more experience in the relevant field


Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates proven thought-leader level knowledge of, and/or is recognized as an industry thought leader with proven success in roles directing, technical actuarial subject matter specialization, especially in Life and Non-Life industry and regulatory developments.

Demonstrates proven thought-leader level knowledge of, and/or success in roles involving, directing efforts to identify and address client needs for a global network of professional services consulting firms, emphasizing the following areas:

- Developing and sustaining extensive client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities;
- Preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and,
- Defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, collection.


Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates proven thought-leader level abilities and/or success with using spreadsheets, database and/or other actuarial software-related technologies.
