Capital One’s Small Business Bank is launching a digital first Spark branded platform that will provide a one stop shop of banking and business management services to small and medium-sized businesses. The product is built with the end customer in mind, including simple pricing, integration with third party complementary services, and customer friendly policies.

The digital segment team is focused on driving the overall strategic vision and business intent for growing Capital One’s Small Business customer base, specifically within online and mobile digital channels. The team is responsible for developing product, pricing, and servicing strategies designed to grow the business while optimizing the customer experience.

Specifically, the Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Analytical leadership: Lead comprehensive data analysis (e.g., product pricing, P&L forecasts, competitor benchmarks, market outlooks, etc.) to build a solid fact base for strategic decisions
Customer focus: Drive customer management campaigns (e.g., cross-sell and relationship deepening) and push the customer experience agenda
Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting customer and regulatory behavior
Team leadership: Manage cross-functional teams. Act as a coach and mentor to associates with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering) or military experience
4+ years experience in Business Management
Superior analytic skills; strong understanding of advanced statistical techniques
Excellent communications, both written and verbal. Ability to explain complex issues and convey assessments in concise, simple, and crisp terms
Strong teamwork, relationship building, and influencing skills
Solid people leadership experience: Ability to build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise
Preferred Qualifications

Masters/Doctorate Degree in any quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering)
Experience working with product teams to design/build financial products
Experience in the financial services industry, specifically Small Business banking and payments
