As the Director DevOps Development & Operations you will be responsible for bringing the continuous and automated production deployments for a variety of products and Services within Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI). Your team will work collaboratively with engineering and development resources to aid in the development and deployment of common tools and processes. You will need extensive knowledge and experience in a development operations organization. You will deliver projects, platform or services, designed and built for DevOps / Agile, using Configuration Management, API’s and Infrastructure Automation technologies as necessary in a self-motivated manner and consistent with Release Map deliverables

What will you do?
(Provide technical direction for activities in all tiers of the DevOps solution, including the orchestration/automation of system configuration, application deployment, application configuration, and cloud migration/management.
Partners with Architecture and engineering to contributes to solutions
Defines solution design and services
Directs and validates design artifacts, contributes to enterprise strategy via validation and research exercises
Authors solutions and services artifacts and initiates ideation, strategy, and future design.
Owns platform specification and design
Validates and provides input to qualified and quantified insight for ideation process
Directs blueprints and design artifacts which correlate to domain of expertise
Build a new team of professionals to support the implementation and ongoing support for GTI’s DevOps strategy; This includes (but is not limited to) defining team goals, building capabilities, and delivering on GTI’s DevOps agenda
Drive the development of current and future leaders, ensuring succession plans and management and people related practices drive employee engagement, superior client experience, profitability and performance
Clearly understand business and technology dependencies and work with cross-functional teams to assist in delivering products in a timely manner
Prioritize, drive, and validate strategies and roadmaps for DevOps / Agile, Configuration Management, API and Infrastructure Automation services, platforms, and technologies
Decision-maker for project direction and output definition from Planning and Assessment process
Self-directed development of new platforms and services; produces presentation material suitable for VP-level consumption
Contributes to definition of standard development process and drives consistency and coaching within the process
Owns and validates blueprints and design artifacts which correlate to domain of expertise
Delivers projects and self-organizes and self-motivates to achieve directed outcomes
Demonstrates knowledge and authority for multiple technology domains; drives platform and service definitions

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
10-12 years of experience in information technology roles.
At least 5 years of experience engineering or designing enterprise technologies. Required 4 years in technology domain experience (Compute, Network, Storage), with automation skills using agile methodologies, DevOps experience, along with Config Management tools and RESTful architecture. Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Version Control Systems, Monitoring and Logging, Engineer and write software API).
5 years of experience is required working with technology in multiple domains
Candidates for this role require experience as a key contributor on the support, integration, and design activities
Hands on experience with object oriented programming (Java, Python, C++) in the context of system and infrastructure automation, configuration management of enterprise systems using modern config management tools. (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt etc)
Familiarity with build tools and repositories, devOPS pipeline.(CI/CD)
Stateless architectures, microservices and data persistence technologies.
Working experience in designing and implementing secure restful web services.
