Develop and implement publicity campaigns for priority programming, events and initiatives. Utilizes top-level PR skills to help fulfill strategic communications priorities and works with senior management to achieve network’s brand messaging goals.

Responsibilities:

Serves as lead PR professional on high-profile projects, including tent pole events and marquee scripted & non-scripted content
Establish and maintain strong relationships with mainstream, online and trade media outlets and internal stakeholders
Craft key talking points; oversee internal and external messaging around projects
Manages junior staff on select program publicity activities
Understands and promotes brand messaging in pitches/stories
Explores and execute trade media opportunities surrounding show assignments
Leads ratings release efforts on assigned projects
Creates and edits press materials; edits copy from junior staff
Working knowledge of crisis communications
Promote executives through panels/speaking engagements and industry “top executive” lists
Oversee upkeep of media lists

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 7 years’ experience in entertainment and television PR
Experience in helping junior staff achieve their publicity goals on projects

Additional Qualifications

“Top of your game”-level proficiency in all publicity activities, which includes effective negotiations with press for positive coverage; impactful press plans and flawless press releases
Proven success in developing and executing PR plans in the entertainment industry
Good problem-solving skills; strong team player within the group and with internal executives and outside constituents
Ability to work under tight deadlines and with multiple priorities
