Reporting into the VP, Corporate Controller, the Director of Corporate Accounting & Finance, Americas region, will have a huge impact in building company-wide accounting functions, driving and leading systems, process, control transformation, and creating the foundation for possible future IPO.
This role is located onsite at the Unity office in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the consolidation/global reporting team, whose responsibilities include managing the global close and consolidation processes, as well as accounting for key areas such as fixed assets, interco, treasury/fx, debt
Managing our Seattle based shared service center responsible for America’s accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Stat reporting topics
Leadership role in ERP implementation and finance process transformation, including establishing systems, processes, policies, and procedures
Ensuring global consistency in accounting process and practice where possible
Developing, document and maintain a strong internal control environment
Provide leadership in establishing a SOX compliant control structure. Establish, monitor, maintain and document global accounting policies and procedures
Primary interface with external auditors for management of interim and year end testing procedures/PBC deliverable
Preparing monthly and quarterly reporting packages to the CFO, executive team, external auditors, and other periodic reporting as needed
Partnering with tax team to ensure tax compliance is appropriately set up in the GL system

Requirements

12+ years overall experience in accounting and finance, including leadership positions in multi-national public technology companies
CPA or MBA a plus
Big 4 Public Accounting experience preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Experience in a software or software as a service company is highly desirable
Experience with accounting policy and financial reporting is required, and SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q) is a plus
Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong managerial and leadership skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
