The Twitter Global Communications team is seeking an experienced communications pro to lead the internal communications function. The overarching goal of this team is to distill Twitter’s corporate mission, product goals and organizational news and information in compelling programs and channels that keep employees connected, informed, and inspired. This role works very closely with the external Communications team as well as with Product, Engineering, HR, Workplace, and other key partners around the globe. The position is based at Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco and will report to our Chief Marketing Officer.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute global strategies and plans that support Twitter’s vision and goals
Lead all internal elements for company-wide news and announcements
Lead content and production of major internal events to be effective and informative
Develop strategy for internal communications channels, eg. group mail, intranet, etc.
Serve as a strategic resource for executives and leads
Partner with teams to influence, craft and integrate communications for their functional areas
Monitor employee feedback and topics of discussion to identify comms opportunities
Collaborate on public communications with PR team to align messaging, context and timing
Develop measurement strategy to ensure internal initiatives define success
Adopt and amplify Twitter’s brand voice internally
Qualifications
Minimum 10-12 years experience in technology communications (internal, PR or AOR) with at least 5 years leading an internal team
Hands-on experience at a consumer tech company (dynamic or startup preferred)
Extraordinary interpersonal communication skills across teams and levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative and team-oriented; experience working with distributed teams and functions
Ability to drive consensus across diverse set of partners, including senior leadership
Ability to support change management in a complex and fast-changing organization
Solid project management skills and analytical abilities
