We are looking for a Senior Design Director to steer Travana’s design direction, as well as lead and manage our capable team of 5 designers. The Senior Design Director will be driving all brand, marketing, and product design efforts by collaborating closely with Design, Engineering, and Product Management to craft functional and visually appealing products for our users to easily plan and book trips.

Direct the design direction of both the branding/marketing as well as user experience for all Travana products
Collaborate closely with designers and managers to drive design strategy and execution
Develop design processes, patterns, and style guides
Plan and manage product design roadmap
Contribute to ideation, wireframe, and production of high-fidelity designs
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
BS/BA in Art, Design, HCI, or similar background
Experience leading a team of capable designers
8-10+ years of design experience with e-commerce and/or travel-related sites and apps
Skillful experience working with cross-functional teams to drive both product and other visual design efforts
Experience with digital product, branding, and marketing design
Strong ability to communicate design ideas effectively with project stakeholders
Preferred Requirements:
3+ years of design experience leading creative direction of a design team
Experience working with agile development process
Experience facilitating usability studies or setting up A/B testing to acquire feedback
Ability to stay on top of the latest design trends and tools
Ability to think about high-level product vision and how that impacts design strategy
