The Wealth Management Resources (WMIR) group performs macro and security research to provide Financial Advisors with actionable investment ideas across a spectrum of asset classes including equities, fixed income and closed end funds and ETFs. The Equity Model Portfolio team is a longstanding research group within WMIR that performs equity research and manages model portfolios for Financials advisors. The team interacts primarily with MS Equity research analysts and the Global Investment Committee to filter out best ideas for the model portfolios.

The VP will perform a wide range of tasks to support the portfolio managers on the team. These projects include company due diligence (qualitative and quantitative methods), portfolio analytics, research report writing, marketing initiatives and strategic planning. Ideally, the VP will move up the curve to eventually present actionable ideas to the team as well as the FA sales force.
· Project Management Opportunities: Manage equity due diligence assignments; Performance/return analysis; Portfolio analytics; Writing/publishing projects; FA marketing oriented initiatives
· Exposure (Management, Field, Third Party Vendors, etc.): Significant cross divisional exposure via MS equity research; PWM/FA sales force exposure; MSWM Research management exposure; MSWM capital market sales desk interaction

Experience
· Project management experience preferred
· Excel analytics experience and proficient in database management
· Research background preferred; emphasis on report writing
