This position involves close interaction with product managers, architects, development leads, and key business groups and their IT. Once platform products are built, this role will enable other functions and business groups with platform pre-sales type enablement, conducting deployment discovery meetings, supporting internal customers with their pre-deployment implementations, and providing a wealth of repeatable and/or reusable/customizable deployment services/architecture blueprints targeting different market segments and scenarios.

Lead the IoT Platform (device, data, and analytics platforms) deployment services in development of best practices and requirements to continuously automate the solution deployment or platform services deployment.
Conduct discovery meetings to understand the client’s technology environment, and white-board solutions in an articulate way that flows and illustrate the purpose including technical presentations to provide a holistic view of the over-all architecture being recommended.
Identify, test and document all of the steps necessary to make the software work in an environment; support pre-deployment implementations and on-site pre-deployment assistance as needed to address and resolve issues.
Define assumptions and requirements, project scoping, and fees estimations as input to support SOW’s as well as pricing and costing analysis for services being built and delivered.
Develop customer deployment solution architecture and detailed line item configurations/bills of materials (BOMs); validate that the product has been correctly packaged before deployment and ensure that all release controls have been satisfied.
Build and code any customizations/extensions leveraging the platform APIs to address deployment-specific and customer-specific integrations and extensions/customizations.
Identify opportunities for new projects: small engagements (configure changes, new features, training), mid-size (upgrades) or large engagements (implementation initiative).
Coordinate client requests for new features and functionality. Work with Product Management and contribute to the enhancement backlogs.
Lead the work with Product Management & Engineering to groom platform product backlog to address delivery impediments or product quality issues.
Conduct a release retrospective with all the development team members that participated in the program to improve the release process and increase program productivity and product quality.
Support and influence platform-focused technical community forums – online and offline. Support enablement activities including conducting webinars, workshops, developing white papers etc.
Define and create a library of platform deployment blueprints and whitepapers that target deployments for different verticals/domains, sizes and configurations. Develop and maintain sizing and configuration guides to support Product Management in their costing/pricing initiatives.
Manage and communicate customer release plans, internally and with customers.
Project management & administrative reporting (status, dashboard, financials, time, forecasts, etc).
Qualifications
You must have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as Deployment Architects or Engineers, Professional Services (Implementation) Architect/Manager, Software Solution Architects, Systems Engineer

5 years specifically in software areas of expertise related to Enterprise Software, SaaS/PaaS, Cloud (IaaS) and Mobility, IoT and security, or big data infrastructure/platforms.

Experience with more than one data streaming and batch processing technologies, and distributed messaging technologies
Combination of the following technologies: Hadoop, Map Reduce, Pig, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka, Storm, SQL and in-memory NoSQL databases such as Hbase and Cassandra. RED
Software coding/engineering experience as they relate to systems integrations, automation & deployment. Red
