You must be customer-minded in your approach, strategic, analytical, and effective at communicating with internal and external partners. You will mostly likely have a background in Data as well as Payments industry or Acquiring experience. This is a highly visible, high impact role, in which you will partner with diverse cross-functional teams to lead, execute, monitor, and deliver results for many initiatives. You must have the ability to succeed in a matrix environment, where success is dependent on your ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners in a positive, productive, and transparent way. The ability to influence and drive win-win scenarios is absolute key for success.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of high performing Lead product managers in global locations
Lead, with your Engineering and Design partners, PayPal Reporting and Data team. Work with Payments Products, Merchant and Consumer teams, Global Operations, Onboarding, Risk, Compliance and Platform Product teams’ leaders to clarify the vision and articulate a practical path to make it real.
Continuously improve the experiences we present to customers, working closely with the user experience teams to deliver excellent, customized and optimized solutions.
Partner with engineering teams to build highly scalable and high performing services, platform and experiences.
Collaborate closely with regional teams and other related product managers, product marketing managers, technical architects, engineers and other cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure that the product solution delivers against business objectives
Work cross-organizationally with sales, product marketing, marketing, customer support, operations, legal, compliance, risk management, engineering, user experience, QA and other functional areas, to ensure alignment with related go-to-market activities
Ensure cross-functional product team execution (with Project Manager and Engineering Manager)
Desired Skills and Experience:
Strong understanding of Big Data and Payments industry
Experience with SaaS, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures (ideally REST APIs)
Proven experience of managing products, budgets and justifying resource needs to senior leaders and finance partners
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary due to dynamic nature of discussions with other engineering and product teams.
