Lead the Development activities of a multi-discipline R&D team to develop and transfer to manufacturing new WSS modules. Will manage several R&D managers responsible for Electro-Optics, Free-Space Optical designs, Electronics designs, Firmware and Software, Optics packaging, Automated Manufacturing Equipment Design, Test and Qualification engineering, including Reliability.
Qualifications:
This position requires extensive experience in leading optoelectronic development projects and multi-functional/Multi-disciplinary teams to bring products into manufacturing for volume production.
Ability to establish and build high performance teams is a must
Excellent communication, planning and leadership skills
Must be able to effectively coordinate and interface with Optical Component Suppliers, Optics Component Contract Manufacturing, and global Optical Transport System Development teams.
Experience in WSS and Free space optics design, Opto-Mechanical Modeling, high speed electrical design, Mechanical Packaging, Firmware design, thermal modeling, system simulation, Reliability and Test. Background in Optical component design and product realization extremely desirable.
MS or PhD in Optoelectronics technologies/Electrical Engineering
