Creative Director Internet.org Facebook Menlo Park

We’re looking for a Creative Director to help shape the creative vision for Internet.org – to lead the creation of work that fosters acceptance of the initiative (amongst governments, influencers and consumers) worldwide, and drives consumer adoption of Internet.org products and programs (such as Free Basics and Express Wifi). Simply put, you’ll be creating work that inspires and enables people to come online, and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital revolution.

The ideal candidate will have a very strong conceptual foundation, years of experience developing campaign ideas for iconic brands, a proven ability to execute across the full communications mix (film, digital, print, radio, OOH, guerilla, and experiential), and personal or professional experience in developing markets. And perhaps most importantly, we need a problem solver with an entrepreneurial bent who is passionate about the Internet.org mission, and adept at making the technical feel human and accessible (particularly for unconnected and under-connected audiences who are unfamiliar with the internet and digital technology). The successful candidate will be part of Facebook’s dynamic and fast-growing internal agency group (The Factory) – reporting to the VP, Creative Director of The Factory – and will be a key partner to the Head of Consumer Marketing for Internet.org.
Responsibilities

Establish the creative vision, brand voice, and visual vernacular for Internet.org
Lead the development of global campaigns across the full communications mix
Elevate the standards for co-marketing campaigns (led by telecom carriers around the world)
Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment
Communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience
Ensure that everything we create powerfully resonates with local audiences (in language, in culture)
Requirements

BFA preferred (MFA is a plus), ideally in Communication, Advertising or Design
8+ years of agency/in-house experience leading creative direction for global brands
Portfolio/online portfolio of original work across the full communications mix (an online portfolio must be included to be considered)
Experience in the technology sector
Experience in developing markets and a global perspective
Passion for Facebook and it’s products and for the Internet.org mission
