This position is to manage for the consolidation of the international AIG Global Services Japan operations (AIGKK), and Indian operations (AIGDS). Manage change in general ledger and international books and records.
The primary work of this position will be to manage the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting associated with AIGKK and AIGDS. As pertaining to current SI reporting package, manage elimination between AIGSS companies and AIGGS companies.
Working with the Director of accounting within the AIGGS Comptrollers Department, the person will be responsible for
• Manage monthly AIGKK, and AIGDS
• Manage monthly Elimination process
• Consolidate the quarterly financial SI packages for AIGKK and AIGDS.
• Monthly review of International results
• Monitoring AIGGS’s cash needs and monthly forecast of cash
• Functional currency determination
• Distribution of and explanation of changes in quarterly SI package,
• Manage Expense Management for AIGGS
• SOX Testing for AIGGS/AIGSS/DS
• Intercompany transaction eliminations and reconciliations between AIGSS and AIGSS
• Manage balance sheet reconcilations via Blackline

• BS Accounting
• International Accounting experience
• Functional currency Determination exposure (FASB 52)
• Excellent organizational skills
• CPA
• The individual must be team oriented, highly motivated and a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills
• Strong Microsoft skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial systems/applications such as Clarity, Cognos, Oracle, Ess-base and d SAP is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup and macros.
• Ability to manage multiple activities, to work independently, to manage multiple
work-streams, to produce high quality work products and to work with a strong sense of urgency.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance/accounting; MBA / CPA is always a plus but not required
