Senior Director BPS Practice Cognizant Denver

Providing leadership and guidance to the BPS Practice team members to help define, refine, confirm, and guide strategy development in support of C2020 Change the Business initiatives.
Responsible for the development of strategic programs that are aligned with the BPS and Business Unit strategic growth plans. Ensure programs and initiatives are aligned with Cognizant strategies including interlocking with all related business units and functions. Accelerate the presence of BPS solutions into all facets of the companies offerings.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

“Gets It Done” by:

Develops and provides governance to BPS Product and Service Management initiatives across the BPS Vertical and Horizontal businesses. Ensures proper momentum, progress, resources, and support for agreed plans are in place.
Being involved in the details as needed to understand, analyze, and validate proposed plans.
Provides clear, concise guidance and direction to BPS Practice team members on initiatives, direction, and guiding principals.
Collaborates with the BPS Practice team, BPS Market Leaders, and BPS Delivery Leaders to maintain alignment related to brainstorming, research, evaluation, planning and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Actively particpates in the development, evolution, maintenance, and governance of the BPS Services Framework. This framework will be used to support our evolving market and delivery strategies over the C2020 horizon.
Ensures that BPS strategies are aligned with Cognizant vertical business strategies and direction.
Actively participates in initiatives outside of BPS to repesent and include BPS services and capabilities in strategic thinking and planning.
Builds quality relationships with key leadership across all Cognizant business functions to ensure BPS Practice teams are engaged.
Being adaptable and capable of connecting at the operational, management, and executive levels across the business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
“Gets It Done” with the following qualifications:


Education:
Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.


Experience:
Minimum of fifteen years experience in the management and development of commercially productized offerings. This includes product line management, product marketing, strategic planning, software and services development. Solid understanding of the connections between market strategy, solution strategy and creation and development of the necessary capabilities required for market delivery. Must have experience with change management and a leadership style and presence that can adapt across a diverse and broad organization, while influencing strategies with credibility.


Technical Competencies:
Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work with, organize, and manage data to support effective senior management decision making
Experience with developing business cases and plans to support making strategic solution decisions (what, why, who buys it, how much, competitive landscape, requirements necessary to win)
Experience with technology platform based solution construction including the layers of security, data access, user and application interfaces, workflow management, and the management of customized extensions
Strong knowledge of commercial platform development, packaging, and distribution models to facilitate broad multi-instance deployments in the market
Experience with connecting legacy technologies into modern and broader workflow solutions to support effective change in the capabilities of the business solution
Comfortable working with financial models that are complex in nature
