The Director of Global Paid Search Marketing (DGPSM) is a new role for the organization, and you’ll be instrumental in helping mentor and grow a team of search marketing gurus. This role will report to the VP Marketing. You’ll have endless opportunities to grow and optimize our already-large paid search campaigns as well as to help identify new initiatives to keep Shutterstock growing fast, innovating and staying at the forefront of our industry. You will work collaboratively with other functional leaders to ensure our strategy is on point and execution is flawless, even as our business evolves.
Responsibilities:

Managing, mentoring and inspiring the team to deliver their best work, every day
Rolling up your sleeves and moving seamlessly between player and coach roles, taking responsibility for campaign management, analysis and optimization where needed
Taking global ownership for channel forecasting, by region and BU, and delivering upon those goals
Challenging the status quo in order to achieve more – whether in approach, execution, measurement, testing, tools or communication
Implementing and utilizing a bid management tool to maximize the effectiveness of all campaigns
Proactively developing and building custom campaign strategies and identifying opportunities for growth
Overseeing and helping with daily/weekly/monthly reporting and summarizing performance story points for senior management
Ensuring the team has the right support, tools and focus to achieve results that exceed expectations
Staying ahead of the curve to apply ongoing knowledge of market trends and best practices
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
Have a wealth (8+ years) of hands-on SEM experience, driving direct response around the world
Understand how and where SEM fits into the broader media and digital ecosystems (i.e. retargeting, mobile, social, ad tech, etc.)
Have an analytical mind, obsess over the details and enjoy solving problems
Are an Excel guru, master of pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.
Know Google Adwords and/or Bing Adcenter like the back of your hand
Can find your way around web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics) and bid management platforms

Are master of multitasking and time management
Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Boast excellent, proactive communication skills, verbal and written
Easily strike a balance thinking strategically and executing tactically
Like to deliver results and make an impact on an organization
