PayPal’s business is growing in complexity and we have identified a critical need to transform the way we acquire data, manage data and drive insight to value. The purpose of the Data Transformation initiative is to create data solutions that will enable our next generation of data-enabled products and services through effective: • Data Strategy • Solution vision and prioritization • Data Integration • Enterprise Data Governance • Advanced Analytics • Accessibility, Availability and Scalability The Data Transformation initiative will create world class capabilities that will power PayPal’s existing and future endeavors through:

• Laying the foundation for the creation of a scalable, modular data fabric that will serve current needs while also having the flexibility to address future requirements. • Linking core data systems that will allow real time personalization, analysis, and reporting at the consumer and merchant level. • Creating accurate and reliable information services for the entire organization, enabling accurate customer reporting and analytics to drive new business value. The Director supporting PayPal’s Data Transformation initiative will coordinate a broad-based, multi-year initiative to enable our future vision for data-enabled products and services. Key outcomes of this transformation will be new growth opportunities for merchant customers, higher impact data-driven experiences for consumers, and acceleration of business insight across the company. Must have experience and demonstrated leadership in broad cross-functional technology initiatives.

Job Requirements:
Lead the strategy & planning for PayPal’s core customer data direction and strategy. Drive solution and technology plan to enable top-line growth, address underlying process issues and prioritize investments in new data capabilities. Identify and drive key metrics around accuracy and consistency of data.
Alongside the Data Technology team, lead the strategy and governance of next-gen data delivery services, including world-class data lake infrastructure. Plan technology capabilities and analytics modeling to ensure a state of the art utilization of PayPal’s diverse data sources. Provide end-to-end thinking from data inception through PayPal’s core business processes and products.
Deliver the Data Transformation initiative to meet stakeholder business and investment return needs in line with the established business case.
