The Channel Marketing Director reports VP of Marketing is responsible for directing the strategy, alignment and deployment for select channels including Service Providers, Systems Integrators, VARs and the EMC Federation for Virtustream. This role offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to influence the development and launch of our multi-tiered Channel Partner Program while focusing on joint marketing campaign development and messaging that drives channel revenue for our Hybrid Cloud platform.
The Ideal candidate must be a self-starter able to work in a fast paced environment. Must also must possess a high level of business experience and acumen, have a proven general marketing background and the ability to work effectively with internal and third party vendors and other cross functional teams to deliver high caliber programs that drive demand and assist the sales teams and the company in achieving set revenue objectives.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement the multi-tiered Channel Partner Program Strategy to include Service Providers, Systems Integrators, VARs and the EMC Federation.
Collaborates with sales to ensure that the channel marketing team develops and executes collaborative joint marketing plans aligned with product launches, transformation programs and field enablement.
Develop unique value propositions and messaging for joint marketing materials and promotional literature.
Recommend, deploy, and champion new Partner Marketing Portal with systems and tools that enable partners to sell by enabling joint marketing programs, deal registration, MDF, and brand identity management.
Create and manage the channel program infrastructure, policies and communications both internally and to the various alliances.
Liaise with marketing team members from Corporate Communications, Field Marketing and Product Marketing for efficient coordination of Channel campaigns that coincide with the existing Program calendar and product releases.
Build a team of skilled channel marketing professionals that drive revenue for the existing channel while building a broader ecosystem of partners.
Manage marketing development funds from the EMC Federation.
Ensure alliances are on point with brand and messaging while promoting and advertising Virtustream and the xStream product line.
Tracking, updating budget and managing department expenses

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Four year college degree required; marketing or related field preferred, MBA a plus.
5-10 years’ experience leading a channel marketing and/or Field programs team.
Candidate must have a broad knowledge of the EMC Federation and IT channel segments, including business drivers and requirements.
Understanding of high tech marketing including SaaS, IaaS, server virtualization and Cloud Computing in general.
Personable, presentable and articulate.
Effective project management skills
Exceptional communication skills & strong administration and organizational skills.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM and/or Salesforce.com a plus
Ability to create and/or enhance processes and procedures to improve operating efficiency and mitigate risk.
Local proximity to Dallas, New York, Atlanta, Maryland or Boston is preferred.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as we build out the Channel Program (up to 35%)
