Job Description:
Sr. Director, Business Development - Horizon Cloud Services is responsible for enabling and supporting the VMware sales organization to successfully sell the EUC cloud services portfolio through direct engagement with end customers
Responsibilities:
1. Execute sales enablement activities to assist the VMware sales organization in becoming proficient in positioning and selling the EUC cloud services portfolio
2. Develop target list of strategic end customer opportunities through direct interaction across the various VMware sales organizations and segments
3. Track and forecast the opportunities on the target account list
4. Ability to travel up to 50%
Qualifications:
• 12+ years of proven business development and or sales (direct and indirect) experience working in the enterprise software industry.
• Experience cloud services, virtualization, and or desktop virtualization is a plus.
• The candidate will have experience in all phases of formalizing significant commercial relationships with enterprise and public sector accounts. As well as experience working with systems integrator and strategic outsourcing companies.
Requirements:
• BS in Computer Science or similar degree
• 3-5 years experience working with VMware and other virtualization technologies, including VDI platforms
• 5 years experience working with the Windows Client and Server operating systems
•5+ years working in customer or partner facing role presenting and demonstrating technology products
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with field sales organizations in building successful proposals (familiar with RFI and RFP processes)
• Previous experience working with global SI, OEM and or service provider organizations
