Job Description:
Responsible for leading the development and supporting the implementation of procurement strategies for all fruit and vegetable juices and allied products for G2G North America (including Canada and Odwalla) and global pulp procurement. Responsible for aligning G2G procurement strategies and suppliers’ development strategies with the respective global strategies. Lead 6 people in the procurement organization. This position manages a material spend accountability of approximately USD1.1 billion annually. Reports directly to the G2G General Manager.
FUNCTION SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:

Develop performance metrics and manage performance of vendors against contract standards (Toolbox activities).
Delegate work assignments and tasks to appropriate individuals, providing sufficient direction so desired business outcomes can be achieved.
Develop and maintain partnerships with internal senior management stakeholders (e.g., senior management, Divisions, Regions, etc.) in order to influence business decision-making.
Represent Coca-Cola’s interests pertaining to governmental affairs regarding juice legislative activities in the U.S.
Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
Identify and recruit optimal cross-functional team members for implementation team when executing sourcing strategy to encourage diversity of thought and ensure stakeholder engagement/commitment.
Develop multi-year business scenarios to establish a planning foundation to assist senior-level management in quantifying the financial impact of business decisions.
Delegate accountability to an individual, empowering them and giving them latitude to make independent judgments within broad parameters, including desired business outcome.
Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against KO business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
Build sustainable global and regional supplier relationships that generate value for both the Coca-Cola system and the supplier over time.
Develop and maintain partnership with Coca-Cola’s strategic partner, Cutrale North America, in order to influence business decision-making.
Coca-Cola representative on North America Industry Associations (i.e. Commissioner on the Florida Department of Citrus, Coca-Cola’s Board Member on the Juice Products Association, Coca-Cola’s Board Member on the Florida Citrus Processors Association).
Manage the implementation of Coca-Cola’s 2020 Sustainability Goals in the G2G organization.
EDUCATION: Master's Degree or equivalent work experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Cross Functional Relationships: Knowledge of and ability to articulate to senior management the benefits of supporting cross-functional objectives to achieve the business plan.
Commodity Markets: Knowledge of commodity markets and the ability to buy and hedge commodities (i.e., orange juice, apple juice). Includes the ability to interpret and understand commodity markets.
Company Standards & Specifications: Knowledge of Company standards and
specifications relative to liquid foods, products and services and the ability to effectively communicate standards and specifications to supply base.
Economic Factors and Impacts: Knowledge of global economic environments, regional and country specific government regulations, applicable laws, exchange rates, and their impact on procurement strategies.
Contracting: Knowledge of principles involved in contract law to ensure supplier agreements are appropriately conceived and executed, eliminating potential risk of unlawful or anti-competitive activity. Includes the ability to read, understand and assess the impact of legal documents.
