Job Description:
Cognizant's Analytics and Information Management Practice (AIM) is seeking a Director of Analytics to join its growing organization. We are currently looking for someone in the West Coast.Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Travel up to 50% or more may be expected.
Our Analytics and Information Management Practice creates solutions that cover the entire lifecycle of information utilization, from ideation through implementation. At the outset, we offer consulting and development services to help our clients define their strategy and solution architecture. Then our teams deliver and manage data warehousing, business analytics and reporting applications that provide tangible business benefits.

Key Responsibilities



We're looking for driven individuals with strong analytics background in retail and consumer goods (RCG) industries to take on practice development and revenue generation activities within North America. Your primary role is to create demand for our analytics platforms, solutions and services from within our existing base of RCG customers. You will be joining a high performance team of Analytics and Information Management, specifically focusing on RCG analytics.

Basic Qualifications
Profitable revenue growth, including robust new business development.
Establish, track, and close new business targets consistently with short- and long-term objectives at designated accounts within the territory.
Develop contact matrix and establish strong relationships with business CXOs, Chief Analytics Officers (CAO) and other business leadersin the retail and consumer space.
Develop and manage strategic relationships with niche analytics solution providers, cultivate new alliances locally and globally, and monitor competitive activity in North America with a view of looking establishing joint ventures and alliances or acquisitions in this area.
Develop account relationships, identify opportunities and capture analytics opportunities at strategic accounts within assigned geography or industry.
Own development plans for new analytics solutions and services on existing Big Data platforms within Cognizant.
Create and maintain CRM data and sales statistics as required.

Preferred Skills
15 years or more of professional experience; 10 years of building and selling analytical solutions experience in either retail or consumer goods industry.
Experience in Travel Hospitality, Manufacturing, Logistics Transportation, Energy Utilities will be a big plus.
Must have experience in handling full range of analytics services for RCG clients including but not limited to marketing analytics, digital analytics, customer analytics, customer propensity modeling, media mix optimization, campaign management analytics, market basket analytics, social media analytics, customer loyalty, supply chain optimization, shelf-space optimization, geospatial analytics, product pricing analytics etc.
Relevant business consulting experience in the retail and consumer goods industry and proven record of growing business for consulting and/or IT services organization.
Should be able to collaborate effectively across a large global organization to deliver the right analytics solutions to our RCG clients.
Proven track record of selling large multi-year analytics deals to RCG companies in US.
Proven track record of developing talent, and ability/willingness to mentor Analysts and other team members.
Hands on analytics and modeling experience is appreciated and ability to relate past experience to consult our clients will be critical for succeeding in this role.
MBA/Masters/Bachelor's degree.
Up to 50% or more travel may be expected in some of the roles depending on the client locations.
