The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all the inpatient and outpatient units. The DON will oversee all facility activities including, but not limited to unit admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, seclusion/restraint, involuntary admission process, assuring programs, daily nursing functions and staff supervision and management are operating in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Education/Experience:
MSN required. A BSN RN may be considered if the individual has nursing management experience. Previous experience in a psychiatric hospital or substance abuse treatment facility preferred.
License/Certification: Currently licensed in the State of Ohio as an RN, current CPR certification, and current CPI certification.
Skills needed:
Demonstrated leadership, communication, teaching and management skills.
